Summertime!

Sun exposure is a concern for our pets as well as us. Stay in the shade as much as possible.

Use flea preventives on pets that go outdoors – even if it is just in your backyard!

Mosquitoes can transmit heartworm to your dog or cat

Make sure you have had your dog tested for heartworm disease!

Eating corn on the cob is a favourite BBQ pastime. Just be sure not to let your dog swallow the corn cob!

Remove ticks as soon as you find them. We have “tick twisters” available – please drop by if you would like one.

Thunderstorms can be very frightening for your pet. We have some solutions, please feel free to ask for advice.

Immunize your pets. Being outdoors increases your dog’s risk of contracting disease.

Many common garden plants can be toxic to cats & dogs if they ingest them. See www.aspca.org for more info.

Enjoy these wonderful summer months by walking with your dog. The exercise will make both of you feel great!
