Jodi has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at Bay Cities Animal Hospital since 2005. She has an enormous compassion for orphaned puppies and kittens and is often found taking one or more home for her special care. She came from St. Catharines, Ontario and attended St. Lawrence College where she graduated as an Animal Health Technician in 2005. Jodi is an accomplished cake decorator, and has been known to create masterpieces from cupcakes. She spends her spare time with her pets Lexi, Quinn, Ashes, Chub Chub, Bambi and Charlotte.
Originally from Caledonia, Sarah attended Northern College and graduated as an Animal Health Technician in 2006. She lives in Hamilton with her husband Daniel. Sarah and Dan welcomed daughter Abigail to their family in October 2011. They also have Benson (who is pictured here with Sarah) and cats Molly, Maddy and Hank. Sarah has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at Bay Cities Animal Hospital since graduation. She has a special interest in dental care.
Tracey graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 1991 and has been working at Bay Cities Animal Hospital since 1994. Tracey and her husband Dave have moved to the country North of Burlington where they live with their two children, and Bella their Golden Retriever, and their newly adopted cat Paris.
When not being a mother or a Registered Veterinary Technician, Tracey enjoys running and house renovations. She is also active with Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and Parent Teachers Association.
Lori has been involved with veterinary clinics since 1989 and has been a dedicated front desk presence at Bay Cities Animal Hospital since 2000. Originally from Burlington, Lori now lives in Hamilton with Olivia, her Dalmation who was born deaf. After years of Lori's training with a modified sign language, Olivia has an extensive vocabulary and battery of tricks. Lori also enjoys gardening, photography and spending time with family and friends.
Georgia had been a client since 1975 and joined the staff as a receptionist a few years ago. Georgia still lives in Burlington with her two Sphynx and one Devon Rex cats. When not working, she enjoys Pilates, gardening, cooking, knitting and makes wonderful catnip balls for our staff and patients.
Kyna is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Ridgetown College at the University of Guelph in 2003. She has furthered her education at McMaster University where she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in 2009 with a specialization in Biodiversity. She has a keen interest in birds of all feathers and when she is not working at Bay Cities Animal Hospital she volunteers with the Ontario Trumpeter Swan Reintroduction Program and is responsible for banding and tagging swans, keeping winter records of sightings to monitor population growth, and finding nesting sites during the summer.
Kyna also keeps and shows domestic ducks, enjoys bird watching, and is active in the Historical Automobile Society of Canada and Rockton Agricultural Society.
Janice has been a part of the Bay Cities family for 17 years. In her role as receptionist she provides a familiar face and comforting nature that our clients depend on. Janice and her husband David live in Smithville, ON. Pets in need seem to find Janice, and they currently have 8 "babies" (as she refers to the them) at home. These include a St. Bernard named Jetta, a German Shepherd cross named Sierra, cats Jack, Bob, Smitty, Sweet Pea, Missy & Smudge.
We don't know where Janice finds the time to come to work as she is a very busy lady at home caring for all of these pets! Janice loves to shop - especially for shoes, she enjoys going for walks to keep active, and every year she and David plan a trip to a southern location for some sunshine.
Ashlee joined the Bay Cities team as a Registered Veterinary Technician in July 2010. Born and raised in Oakville, Ashlee has always loved animals. Ashlee graduated from St. Clair College in June 2010. Before coming to Bay Cities, she was employed at Bronte Road Animal Hospital. She has 2 cats: Linken and Lewy (Linken was adopted from St. Clair College and Lewy was adopted from the Burlington Humane Society) and 2 Malshi (Maltese & Shih Tzu Cross) puppies Sophie and Sheldon. When she is not working, Ashlee loves to spend time with her family and friends! She is also a huge Toronto Maple Leaf fan!!!!!
Always the animal lover, Renata first decided to pursue a job in the veterinary field after discovering a pile of day-old kittens in a New Jersey barn. Thirteen years later in 2011, she is a new grad from Ridgetown working with the team at Bay Cities Animal Hospital. Currently living with her thirteen year old barn cat Felix in Waterdown, Renata enjoys hiking, reading, camping and plans to take more schooling in the future involving wild life.
